Welcome!

Welcome to my wig and hair care website!! I’m so excited to introduce myself and to spread my knowledge of everything I know about wigs, hair loss, curly hair and hair care! I’ve always been a creative person and I’ve always loved dabbling in different things and experimenting with different artsy creations!

In high school, I was my friend's and mom’s hairdresser. Even though I had no idea what I was doing, I dove right in and started playing in their hair! I used to cut and colour my best friend’s hair and do all sorts of fun stuff with it! I still look back and I’m amazed she trusted me to experiment with her hair when I had such little knowledge! We always had a great time and laughed (sometimes cried) at the end results!

Another way I would experiment was with my own hair, which I had a true love-hate relationship with. I have very curly, kinky, afro hair which I absolutely hated in the 90’s, when the huge trend was to have flat to your head pin straight hair. I tried everything in my power to make it as straight as possible! In the 90’s, flat irons weren’t as powerful as they are today (at least the ones I could afford weren’t), so we did what most 90’s girls did, we used the clothing iron!! Once the whole process was done you were left with stinky, flat hair, that was getting more and more crispy each time you decided to iron your hair! Fast forward to my hair extension days, a whole new journey emerged. I got hooked on weaves, braids and all sorts of fake hair. I loved going into the salon to get my hair extensions and just watching the stylists do their job. I started really focusing in on what they were doing and decided to take matters into my own hands and start doing hair extensions on my friends! If you don’t know what weave hair extensions are, you first do a braid (cornrow) then you sew a long strand of hair onto the braid you just created. I had so much fun playing with all sorts of fake synthetic hair, remy human hair and virgin hair extensions! I splurged on tons of different types of hair and to this day I still have a huge box of different types of hair extensions, new in the package, from that time! This was all between the ages of 13-19, living in Laval and Montreal!

After high school, I really didn’t know what I wanted to do. Everyone was going to college and I was so unsure of what career I wanted to do, so my parents let me take a year off to figure it out! After a year, I finally decided to go into hairdressing after visiting the school with my dad! I had so much fun in my program and completed the course, got my certificate and graduated! That same year, my parents told me that they'd made the decision to leave Quebec and move to Barrhaven, Ottawa, Ontario!

This is really when my whole wig journey began! In 2003, wigs definitely weren’t what they are today, I got my first synthetic (fake hair) wig. The only issue with synthetic hair is that it starts to knot like crazy at the back of the neck and, after a few weeks, becomes pretty much unwearable. I moved on to low quality human hair, which was fun but also had the same problems over time. The scalp of the wigs was far from natural but could pass if you weren’t looking too close... hehe.

I always loved watching YouTube videos on hair and one day I fell upon this one YouTube channel where she was making wigs from scratch! That totally opened up my mind to a ton of possibilities! I told my best friend about it and we ordered all the supplies and started making our own wigs!! This was a very labor-intensive task that really did take days upon days to do. We sure felt the pain in our backs, but pushed on through!! We created a few wigs and even named our small business “Flawless Lengths”, the name I still use to this day! Slowly, it faded off and we stopped making the wigs, and put them in the back of our closet and forgot about them for a few years.

A couple of years passed and my entrepreneurial spirit ignited again and I wanted to create a business for myself. I was already working as a hairdresser but I wanted more! I thought long and hard and realized… you know so much about wigs, and you know how to create them. Why not make a company selling high quality wigs? I spent hours researching and reaching out to different suppliers. I ordered hair from countless hair companies and put the hair through every test, to see if it would live up to my expectations. I spent a lot of money trying to find the perfect hair that would be soft, silky and stand the test of time. One day, I finally found what I was looking for! High quality virgin human hair that was so soft, didn’t tangle and really made me feel proud to sell and offer to my clients! I was sure put to many other tests after that! Like any new business, you wonder; am I doing the right thing? I had many trials and errors which truly made me stand strong in the spot I am today!

I have so much knowledge of wigs and hair pieces, and I’m pleased to offer high quality luxurious human hair wigs!! What’s even more fulfilling is seeing my client’s reactions when they put them on!! I always knew I wanted to help women feel beautiful but I never realized what I was stepping into!! I’ve had the chance to help women who have cancer, hair loss, alopecia and obsessive-compulsive disorders, feel like their beautiful selves again and this is truly the best part of doing what I do!!! I’m Arielle Campbell and I help women love themselves again! Not only that, I decided to dive into helping women treat their own hair under the wigs to truly help and inspire them on this hair loss journey!! Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I absolutely love what I do!
