Another tip is to run a humidifier in your home, if you don’t have one, purchasing one is a good investment into your skin, hair care and overall well being. A humidifier will make sure the right humidity level is maintained in your home in order to prevent irritation and dryness caused by dry air.

Go Natural

If possible, try to reduce excessive use of heated styling tools such as flat irons and curling irons as these can further dry out your hair. If you have naturally wavy or curly hair, go with it! 

Change It Up

You may want to consider changing up your shampoo for the winter months, look for a product that is specifically formulated for dry or damaged hair as well as sulfate free.

The Fuzzies

A wonderful way to replenish moisture in your hair is to use a deep conditioner, hair mask or an intense moisture mask regularly. A deep conditioner or hair mask will replenish and lock in the moisture to your hair and your hair will thank-you.  A good rule of thumb is to use it once a week or as needed.

If you find you are experiencing static in your hair during winter, even after using a deep conditioner, a suggestion is to try a leave-in-conditioner. A leave-in hair conditioner or oil protects your hair all day and is wonderful to tame fly-aways and static in your hair. Another suggestion is to try an overnight hair mist to put back the moisture the day has taken out.
